Head Lice EYFS/Y2
Dear Parents and Carers – EYFS and 2J. Unfortunately, there has been an outbreak of headlice in your child’s class. We ask that you please check your child’s head for headlice.
Treating them as soon as you notice either the eggs or the lice is key as is regular combing. Remember that even when the lice are gone, there may still be eggs present. This is why regular checking is very important.
For children with longer hair, we recommend tying it up when in school if possible.
If you need any help and advice, please ask our team in school and also visit the NHS website : https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/head-lice-and-nits/
Your local pharmacy will also be able to give advice. Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.
Kind regards
Dothill Primary School
