As we begin the new academic year, here are a few important reminders and updates to help us all get off to a smooth start:

🏷️ Label Everything!

Please ensure that all your child’s belongings: uniforms, lunch boxes, water bottles, PE kits etc. are clearly labelled. This helps us return lost items quickly which reduces unnecessary stress for children.

We have plenty of second-hand uniform so please visit our uniform bank if you need anything - it is bursting with jumpers and we may have other useful items too.

Please remember that your child does not need to bring in their own stationery and also, we would please discourage toys / items from home unless especially requested by your child's teacher.  

⏰ School Timings and Punctuality

School gates and classroom doors open at 8:30am each morning. We kindly ask that children arrive before 8:45am to avoid entering through the school office and receiving a late mark. Arriving on time helps children settle calmly into their day and ensures they don’t miss valuable learning time. It can also be unsettling for children to join the classroom after their peers have already begun lessons.

At the end of the day, the school gates will open for parents at 3:10pm, with classroom doors opening at 3:15pm for collection.

🚧 Site Works & Parking

We currently have contractors on the school site to install new boilers, and this will continue until October. As a result, car parking space is now even more limited than before and therefore unavailable for parents. Please speak with our office team if you have urgent need for mobility reasons. Please also be mindful of our neighbours when parking near the school.

👩‍🏫 Staff Updates

We are thrilled to welcome two new members to our team: Mrs Loveitt who will be part of our pastoral team and Mrs Mitchell who will be joining the Year 5 team. We know you will join us in making them feel at home. We are also very happy to welcome back Mrs Jennings, who is returning from maternity leave. In other news, we congratulate Miss Thornhill who got married over the summer and will now be known as Mrs Love.

📰 Weekly Newsletter

Our school newsletter is added to the website and emailed every Friday (wherever possible!). It includes news, weekly celebrations, important reminders and upcoming dates. In addition, we post regular reminders about attendance, SEND and E-safety.

It’s vital that we have your up-to-date contact details. If you’ve changed your mobile number, email address, or moved house recently, please let the school office know as soon as possible so we can stay in touch.
